Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk

Location: Amarillo, TX

Pay: $17–$18/hour DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk for a local Amarillo company. We’re looking for someone with at least 1 year of recent accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience who is organized, accurate, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers.

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity offering a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and the potential for long-term employment.

• Process accounts payable invoices and payments
• Enter and maintain accurate accounting records
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions
• Assist with accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections as needed
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office for daily tasks
• Provide additional support to the accounting team as needed

• Minimum 1 year of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Accounting software experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Dependable and able to work independently

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

$17–$18/hour, depending on experience
